John Pointon & Sons signs container deal
GW Containers & Equipment has signed a one-year agreement with John Pointon & Sons to supply its Saeplast double-walled insulated food container.
The agreement will see Pointon purchase in excess of 1,000 containers over the next year and is seen as a major step in the firm's ongoing commitment to becoming the number one food waste company in the UK.
Pointon has put a system in place to help track and monitor the containers, using sequential numbering, and it is hoped the system will reduce the amount of lost and stolen containers. By having a unique colour and company logo, it is anticipated that the containers are less likely to be mixed up and can easily be recognised by collecting drivers.
The Saeplast double-walled insulated container will also integrate with Pointon's existing container pool and can gradually be introduced over the course of the year.
