Dundee Food festival attracts visitors in thousands
Thousands of visitors flocked to this year’s Dundee Flower and Food festival for a showcase of the best of Scotland’s produce, held at Dundee’s Camperdown Country Park.
The show marked the beginning of Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight and heralded the start of Scotch Lamb’s main season.
Thousands of visitors to the Quality Meat Scotland stand had the opportunity to gain some inspiration in the kitchen, taking away the latest recipes and guides to Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.
Nearly 200 school children spent time with a health and education coordinator. learning about the health benefits of red meat. One of the main sponsors at the three day festival, held over the weekend, was Scotch lamb.
Quality Meat Scotland healthy eating ambassador, Miss UK and former Miss Scotland, Katharine Brown joined TV chefs The Hairy Bikers during their Saturday demonstration.
