Moy Park appoints Gibson director of agriculture

Moy Park has announced the appointment of David Gibson as Director of Agriculture after 26 years at the company. He will be responsible for the Agriculture Division across both Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Gibson will be based at Moy Park’s Dungannon site and will report into James French, Moy Park’s Agri & Fresh Poultry director.

As a trainee manager in the mid-1980s Gibson was involved in the development of free-range chicken. Since then, he has held positions in hatchery management as well as in Moy Park’s breeding division.

More recently, as general manager for Agriculture Northern Ireland, Gibson was responsible for all of Moy Park’s agriculture activities from the grandparent scheme right through to the broilers that are delivered to the factory.

French said: "We are delighted to appoint David to this key position within Moy Park. Moy Park prides itself in its involvement in the farming industry – which underpins its success in the Agriculture Division.

"Over the last 10 years, Moy Park has demonstrated its commitment to the poultry industry by proactively implementing market-leading initiatives and David will be instrumental in continuing to drive this forward in the coming months and years."
