2 Sisters appoints Eddie Power as UK managing director

The 2 Sisters Food Group has appointed Eddie Power as its new UK managing director.

The newly created position will enable the company’s chief executive Ranjit Singh to dedicate more time to the effective implementation of the Group’s corporate strategy for 2010 to 2015, the firm said.

Power joins 2 Sisters having held the positions of Group MD at Grampian Country Food Group and chairman of turkey producer Cranberry Foods.

Singh said: “We welcome somebody who is not only held in high esteem by the food industry, but whose experience, strong leadership and customer focus will enable us to achieve our strategic goals.

“Eddie has more than 30 years’ experience working in the food industry, with an exceptionally strong record of delivering profits and growth.”

“We aspire to increase market share and growth by producing the best-quality products at the lowest cost. Eddie’s appointment fits with 2 Sisters’ business strategy and provides additional strength and capability to our great team of people.”
