Heijs Groep adds to its flock thanks to Fortress
Netherlands poultry firm Heijs Groep has taken order of three additional Phantom metal detection machines from UK designer and manufacturer Fortress Technology through Benelux distributor Jansen Techniek.
The latest three metal detectors join four Fortress machines previously installed on Heijs Groep's poultry packaging lines over the past five years and are being used to inspect a range of different poultry products, including whole chickens, fillets and wings, packaged in crates and paper boxes.
Jan Meijer, site manager at Heijs Groep's poultry processing plant in Hoogeveen, said: "In order to maintain high standards, we need to ensure our metal detection systems are accurate, fast and reliable and we have found that to be the case with the Phantom equipment."
