Fortress makes a new home

26 November, 2010

Banbury-based Fortress Technology has more than trebled its office space following a move to new premises.

The relocation to the 10,500sq ft premises, aptly named The Phantom Building since Fortress manufactures Phantom metal detectors, comes in the wake of the company having doubled its head-count in the past 12 months.

Sarah Ketchin, Fortress Technology (Europe) MD, said: "This move to larger premises represents a significant investment by our parent company and reflects the faith they have in the European business. The recession has prompted customers to review metal detector suppliers, whereas before they would stay loyal at whatever the price, and has resulted in us winning new customers and expanding our workforce."
