Management changes at Premier Foods

Premier Food has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO) as part of its ambitions to push its branded products.

Tim Kelly, executive director and currently the COO of Hovis and chilled, is to take on the new role and report directly to Robert Schofield, chief executive. The appointment of Kelly means that grocery and Hovis divisions will be managed by one team.

The chilled business will remain a separate department reporting directly to Schofield.

The move also means that Will Carter, the current managing director of the Premier's ambient grocery business is to leave the group.
