Lady Gaga's meat dress named number one
It might not have caught on in the high street, with butchers failing to report hordes of fashionistas looking for some sirloin leg warmers, but Lady Gaga's meat dress proved a hit with Time magazine.
The influential publication has named the meaty outfit, worn by the slightly bizarre pop star for the MTV awards, as the number one fashion statement of 2010.
It remains to be seen whether the outfit is likely to see another outing, or whether Gaga has any more meaty stunts lined up for the New Year.
Recent comments would suggest the singer is trying to draw a line under her fashion choice in favour of her music, which she said "is something so much deeper than a wig or lipstick or an outfit, or a f-ing meat dress”.
We look forward to the deep philosophical musings of Gaga on the radio next year. In the meantime, that dress must be fairly well matured by now...
