SAMW presents charity donations

SAMW cheque presentation

The Scottish Association of Meat Wholesalers (SAMW) has raised £6,000 for charity this Christmas.

Alan Craig, president of the Scottish Association of Meat Wholesalers (SAMW) presented cheques totalling £5000 to representatives of the British Heart Foundation, Crossroads Caring Scotland and the Grampian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association.

An additional £1000 was also given by SAMW, in an earlier presentation, to the Arbroath branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Funds for the presentations were raised during a charity auction at the Association’s annual conference and dinner that took place in Edinburgh in April 2010.

Craig said: “We’re delighted to be able to support each of these important charities. I also wish to thank our members and sponsors for their continued generosity in enabling us to maintain this valuable SAMW tradition.”
