DBC launches own label
DBC Foodservice has launched a new own brand of essential products for caterers.
The ‘dbc label’ range includes cooking, baking ingredients, prepared salads and sandwich fillings, coffee and biscuits, frozen produce including fish, burgers and vegetables and non-food items such as cling-film and cleaning products.
The company, which is owned by WPD Limited and has a turnover of £270m, said that many of the recipes had been created to meet rigorous Food Standards Agency guidelines and to appeal to the growing trend of offering healthier alternatives to consumers.
Sue Cronin-Jones, buying director at DBC Foodservice, said: “As a business, DBC Foodservice is committed to delivering great taste and great value. With ‘dbc label’ we have created a range of products that appeal to chefs and caterers, delivering consistent quality and profit to their bottom line.
“This is the first stage of our own-brand development plan. We are looking forward to presenting more ranges in 2011.”
The logo and branding for the new products was designed by Blaze Communication.
