Surrey County Council has lifted movement restrictions on a number of farms affected by last year's outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD).
The council confirmed that FMD closures in Normandy and Elstead, where farmers elected not to restock, have now been lifted.
Eight farms were infected during the FMD outbreak from government laboratories at Pirbright in August last year and trading standards officers were keen to emphasise that not all bans in the county had been lifted.
There are still restrictions on premises in north Surrey, including Laleham, Egham and Virginia Water and members of the public are ordered through prominent notices not to enter the restricted zones.
If anyone sees breaches of the closures then they are asked to call Trading Standards on 01372 371692.
