Great opportunity for networking

Butchers will be able to pick up the latest tips and advice on ingredients and product development with a visit to MTJ's Butchers' Fair Spring.

Verstegen Spices & Sauces is sponsoring the live presentation area, which will also see the firm conduct a presentation on making the most from its products.

Other events during the Fair, on Sunday, 10 April at Newbury Racecourse, include presentations from MRC The Flava People and competitions from the National Federation of Meat & Food Traders.

Exhibitors are now being signed up to display the latest ideas and technology for butchers, including Dalziel, Rational UK, Tasty Trotter and Innovative Food Ingredients.

Ed Bedington, editor of MTJ, said: "This one-day event will provide a great day out for butchers, giving them a wonderful opportunity to network with like-minded industry members and pick up ideas. Make sure it's in your diary and don't forget to register for the competitions."

Butchers' Fair Spring is the first of two fairs organised by MTJ, with Butchers' Fair Autumn, taking place at the Bolton Arena, Bolton, on 2 October. The events all have the backing of the NFMFT, Q Guild and the National Association of Catering Butchers (NACB). For details, contact Rebecca George on 01293 610422 or email rebecca.george@wrbm.com. To register for the competitions, visit www.butchersfair.co.uk or contact Jayne Cottrell at the NFMFT on 01892 541412 or e-mail jayne@nfmft.co.uk.
