Danish Crown takes on 150 new employees
Danish Crown is to employ 150 new staff at its slaughterhouses and deboning facilities across Denmark.
The appointment of extra staff comes as the group has seen an increase in new co-operative owners.
Kjeld Johannesen, chief executive of Danish Crown, said: ”We are currently seeing an increase in demand from several of our export markets, including South Korea. This confirms that Danish Crown is maintaining its position as a competitive slaughterhouse business.”
The expansion follows the EU giving it the go-ahead to acquire D&S Fleisch, which is based in Essen, Oldenburg, northern Germany, close to Denmark and also to other Danish Crown units in northern Germany.
