Eblex launches spring promotional campaign

Eblex has launched its Spring ‘Quality Premium’ kits to help butchers tempt customers to buy new season beef and lamb.

Three cuts in particular are promoted: French Trimmed Lamb Cutlets, Lamb Leg Steaks and Sirloin Steaks.

The point-of-sale kits will be sent to registered Quality Standard scheme members in April and contain material that butchers can use in-store to promote spring recipes. These include posters, recipe cards featuring the three cuts, 80 copies of the latest ‘Simply’ beef and lamb recipe book, product specification sheets and three cabinet cards.

Mike Whittemore, Eblex retail project manager, said: “New-season lamb is perfect for a special meal during Easter. Lamb cutlets and leg steaks are ideal for this occasion when complemented with other seasonal ingredients. For steak-lovers the sirloin has a great flavour, especially when cut to about 2cm (¾inch) thick with a thin layer of fat running along the top of the steak.
