Follow the Pig Rally with Meat Trades Journal

Tomorrow the industry descends on Whitehall for a mass rally to highlight the issues in UK pig sector - and you can follow it every step of the way with Meat Trades Journal.

We will be covering the event via our website www.meatinfo.co.uk and we will also be updating our Twitter feed during the day. To access this live coverage of the event - where supporters are fighting to save the British pig industry - log on to Twitter and follow our feed at twitter.com/MTJ_tweet

The day kicks off with special Pig Breakfast at the House of Commons, where it is hoped Caroline Spelman, secretary of state for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will be on hand to outline the government’s stance.

A fleet of coaches is bringing farmers to the rally from the pig farming heartlands of Yorkshire, East Anglia and the West Country - and the march itself starts at 11am.

Alternatively, if you are attending the rally and want to get in touch with us then call Martyn Leek on 07515539501 or Arabella Mileham 07968114013 or email us on martyn.leek@wrbm.com or arabella.mileham@wrbm.com.
