DBC appoints new sales director

DBC Foodservice, the UK meat and food wholesaler, has appointed Tony Rowlands as its new sales director with immediate effect.


Rowlands was previously managing director of foodservice for Loxtonfoodco – whom he joined after growing the Individual Restaurant Company (IRC) Piccolino and Bar & Grill brands from four to 33 sites.

He began his career as a chef in the Royal Navy before moving into management throughout the restaurant, bar and foodservice industry, focusing on quality food. He developed his on-trade knowledge while working most notably as food development managers for both M&B and Greene King, and will use this experience as DBC continues to build its pub and bar sector business.

Chris Horne, managing director of DBC Foodservice, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Tony as the latest addition to DBC’s management team. He is integral to our plans to develop and grow our independent and profit sector sales to provide an increased financial return.”
