Public opposed to badger cull

08 June, 2011

The majority of adults across the UK are opposed to killing badgers to tackle the issue of TB in cattle, according to a recent poll.

The research, carried out by the BBC found 63% of the thousand adults surveyed were against killing the animals, with just 31% in favour.

The survey was carried out in response to coalition plans to introduce culling in England to tackle the TB problem.
