Holland's Pies cuts jobs
A Lancashire-based meat pie company is to cut jobs in order to become more efficient.
Holland’s Pies will cut 10 jobs at its production plant at Baxenden near Accrington. The news comes after Holland’s Pies parent company Northern Foods was taken over by the Ranjit Boparan group.
In a statement to local media, Holland’s said the redundancies would be mainly voluntary. “These redundancies, while regrettable, are a necessary part of ensuring Holland’s remains competitive in the marketplace.”
However, the new owners have indicated there is no intention to move the company from its current base.
