Andy Foot joins Eblex board

Dorset beef farmer and chairman of the NFU regional livestock board and beef group, Andy Foot, has been appointed to the Eblex board.

Foot is a fifth-generation commercial mixed arable and beef farmer who farms about 650 acres in Dorset and is also a local chairman of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership. He replaces Adam Quinney, who has stepped down after being elected NFU vice-president.

Foot said: “I’m very much a commercial farmer and am very pleased to be joining the board. These are extremely exciting times for the beef and sheep industry. I’m looking forward to working with Eblex to continue driving the industry forward and improve the profitability and efficiency of the red meat industry.”
Eblex chairman John Cross said: “Andy is a welcome addition to the Eblex board, and his knowledge and experience in the livestock sector will be invaluable in helping us and the industry meet future challenges. We are sorry to lose Adam, who has made a major contribution to Eblex’s work and we wish him every success in his new role at the NFU.”
