Asda team complete gruelling challenge
Asda suppliers and staff took part in a gruelling challenge involving climbing, cycling and kayaking, and managed to raise more than £100,000 for charity.
Earlier in the month, 20 teams of four embarked on a 20-mile mountain cycle, an ascent and descent of Mount Snowdon, a further 15-mile cycle, and then a 2.5km kayak.
The event was organised by Asda’s fresh meat trader Jim Viggars.
He said: “As always, our annual charity challenge pushed even the very best athletes to their limit and, without a doubt, they have all earned their kind donations. Our charity event raised over £100k for Tickled Pink (Breast Cancer Care and Campaign) and Everyman which will be split 50/50."
