£1m partnership deal signed by freight company

11 June, 2012

The UK’s second-largest manufacturer of solid board boxes for the meat and poultry processing industries has agreed a three-year distribution partnership worth £1m with a Yorkshire freight company.

Joda Freight will base several trailers at Northern Paper Board’s (NPB) Skipton headquarters to deliver an estimated 12,500 pallets weighing in excess of 25,000 tonnes throughout the UK. The deal runs until 2015.

NPB has invested £1.8m in plant and equipment and, in the current financial year, will invest a further £600,000 on automated machinery. This year the firm achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality accreditation.
