Bizerba grows label storage capacity
A new state-of-the art warehouse, which has space for 3.25bn labels, has been opened by the Bizerba label factory in Bochum.
Built in time for the company's 30th anniversary on 29 June, the new warehouse offers customers the option to take advantage of the label "management system", which means they can store labels at the warehouse and leave Bizerba to deal with the logistics.
Bizerba has been a leader in technological progress in weighing, labelling, information and foodservice systems since 1866. Around 30 years ago, figures increased rapidly, which meant they needed to expand storage facilities.
Marc Büttgenbach, sales director for labels and consumables at Bizerba, said: "Over time, the portfolio expanded to include numerous decorative and functional labels and the demands placed on production and storage capacities increased, meaning that the company's old warehouse was bursting at the seams."
Bizerba stores and dispatches the labels to customers who may not have lots of space on their premises. The company also has the ability to dispatch labels with short notice from its local Bizerba branches.
