The device increases profitability and helps customers check out faster, with an all-in-one solution that includes Toshiba’s ST-A10 touch screen and Cunninghams' Absolute.PoS software.
Easy to use and reliable, the product has enabled five shopping lanes for checkouts and a fast track lane for payment of sandwiches to be added in the farm shop.
Previous to this new solution, the shop required the customers to pay for products in individual departments, which was much more time-consuming.
Toshiba’s touchscreen can withstand severe thermal and humid conditions, for a weatherproof solution and it is ergonomic in design. It features a click release system, which means hard disk drive, memory and power supply components can be easily replaced.
Becketts retail manager Ian Comer stated: "The combination of innovative technology from the Toshiba ST-A10 and clever software is already showing higher turnover and profit margins due to more accurate reporting through back office software. Within 14 months the solution would have paid for itself."
