Pork campaign hits national media

An advertising campaign in the national papers gave the ‘Give a Fork About Your Pork’ campaign a boost last weekend.

The latest Bpex advertising strategy for the campaign, which is fronted by Jimmy Doherty, received a boost in a series of four-colour half-page adverts in The Sun, Daily Mail, Guardian, The Telegraph and The Times, which will be followed up in the business-to-business press this week.

There will also be a "pitch perimeter" LCD message at the Football World Cup Qualifier game – England v Montenegro – on 26 March, which will be seen by an audience of approximately 10m people.

Bpex interim head of marketing Karen Hughes said: "The aim behind this is to extend the brand awareness of Red Tractor pork beyond the end of the first burst of activity on Channel 4 On Demand in anticipation of its return in May."
