Bpex’s Keith Fisher appears on Sunday Brunch
Bpex ‘baconologist’ and fourth-generation butcher Keith Fisher appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch to mark the beginning of Bacon Connoisseurs’ Week (BCW) yesterday (17 March).
Fisher discussed origin, cuts and cures of bacon, while emphasising the importance of buying Red Tractor bacon in supermarkets, because it guarantees traceability and quality.
Joining presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, he presented samples from the Great Bacon Revolution Awards, and spoke of the variety of bacon in the UK.
The TV appearance was followed by tweeters claiming Fisher possessed the "dream job" of tasting bacon for a living. One woman wrote: "That Keith Fisher is the luckiest man around!"
