Holland’s Pies introduces British beef labels
Pies, puddings and pastries producer Holland’s has launched new messages on its products guaranteeing British beef, aiming to assure its customers of its meat sourcing.
Holland’s supports British farmers and locally sourced food, and is therefore keen to certify the traceability of its products.
A spokesperson for Holland’s said: "In recent months it has become apparent that there is an increased focus on British-farmed products.
"We wanted to ensure our customers know that Holland’s beef products are made with 100% British beef. By clearly demonstrating a ‘British beef guarantee’ message on-pack we believe that this will give shoppers confidence in our products," he added.
The assurance labels, for the brand, which has been around for more than 155 years, will appear on its fresh and frozen beef products, commencing in April.
