Eblex annual conference
Global red meat retailing will be highlighted at Eblex’s annual conference in November.
Methods of beef and sheep production in the US and Brazil will be explained, in a bid to show how the methods can be applied in the UK.
Morrisons operations manager Andrew Loftus will give a presentation on red meat retailing and senior director of Euro Quality Lambs Rizvan Khalid will address the sheep sector with regards to the halal market.
There will also be a presentation on global opportunities for beef and lamb by Eblex export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier, while NFU vice-president Adam Quinney will focus on the future of beef and lamb production.
Eblex southern senior regional manager and conference organiser Dr Phil Hadley said: “Our annual conference provides an ideal forum for those in the industry to come together and discuss pressing industry issues and gain an insight into potential future opportunities for the sector.”
The conference, due to be held on 5 November, will also feature question-and-answer sessions to discuss technical issues and look into Eblex’s work.
