HCC wins top prize at Royal Welsh Show

Hybu Cig Cymru’s (HCC) stand at the Royal Welsh Meat Show has been named the best commercial trade stand in the non-agricultural sector.

The company won the prize for its Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and pork which the judges and visitors described as “eye-catching” and “mouth-watering”.

During the rest of the week, Ludovic Dieumegard, Dale Williams, Larkin Cen and Sophie Wright will be cooking on the stand.

HCC’s chairman Dai Davies said: “It is a great honour for us to win this award. We put in a huge amount of work to ensure that our stands are eye-catching and attract people to taste the fantastic meat that we produce here in Wales or find out more about the work we do on behalf of our stakeholders.

“We have some excellent chefs visiting our stand this week to host cooking demonstrations and show the public the versatility of Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and pork and the amazing flavours you can combine it with.”

The main HCC stand can be found on Avenue M opposite HCC’s industry development stand.
