Brookfield Farm reaches for the stars
Brookfield Farm has received two gold stars in the Great Taste Award for its veal escalopes and osso bucco, it was announced earlier this week.
The entries were voted on by 400 judges and involved thousands of hours of blind tasting to determine the winner of the largest food awards scheme in the world.
The farm’s veal is Freedom Food and RSPCA approved, fresh from West Country farms.
Principal founder of Brookfield Farm Ben Bayer said: “We are delighted to win a Great Taste Award for not just one, but two of our products. We’ve been working incredibly hard to put high-welfare English veal back onto the dining table since the brand’s launch in 2011. Being able to promote the recognisable Great Taste logo supports our efforts by showing consumers that veal is an exceptionally flavoursome and versatile meat.”
Brookfield Farm has started heavily promoting veal due to its nutritional benefits, emphasising its high protein and low fat.
