Vernon Kay to host annual BDCI dinner

Television presenter Vernon Kay will be hosting this year’s Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution's (BDCI’s) annual dinner.

Kay is one of the most recognisable television presenters in the country and has presented TV shows including All Star Family Fortunes, Splash, Home for the Holidays and Beat the Star.

Guests at the event will also have the pleasure of seeing the show-band Star and can bid in a gala auction and a silent auction, which will be held in the evening. Prizes at the auctions include, among other things, a Harley Davidson motorbike. Guests will also be automatically entered into a prize draw, where one lucky winner will receive a car.

2013’s festival chairman Richard Canvin said: “The Festival Dinner is a great night out, but ultimately it is all about raising funds for our industry charity. As festival chairman, it is my job to raise as much money as possible, so I will be calling on the industry to provide support in the form of auction prizes and advertising in the Festival Dinner brochure.”

The dinner will take place in The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 25 October. For more information and to book your place, visit: www.bdci.org.uk
