Food industry charity raises £380k
Farm Africa has raised £380,000 so far, it announced earlier this week.
The charity, which is backed by the food and drink industry, proclaimed two recent projects in Africa as a main contributor to the figure.
Later this week Farm Africa will take on its third challenge of the year, by marching 13 food industry leaders on a six-day 145km trek across the Tanzanian Highlands
The challenge follows one held in May, when 14 female food and drink industry executives dug a giant fish pond in an African village, so the community could rely on fish for food and an income.
