BBQ Talk launches winter campaign
The Great British Barbecue campaign is inviting people to fire their barbecues back up and keep them hot throughout the winter months.
Launched by BBQ Talk, the campaign encourages all-year barbecuing and explains there is no need to put the barbecue away simply because the winter is drawing closer.
With some warmer clothes, barbecuing can be enjoyed at any time of the year, and the outdoor-eating cooking trend is backed by chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Tom Kerridge and Ali Ray.
Ray said: “At last we are beginning to see the versatility of our BBQs in Britain. Why save the BBQ for the summer? Lighting those coals, or turning on that al fresco gas grill on a crisp autumn or winter day creates an extra magic for any meal.”
She fully supports the barbecue campaign and said: “I’m already planning to gather friends and family around for a spicy barbecued leg of lamb and coal-roast potatoes this coming bonfire night.”
Logging into the website and pledging to host a barbecue in the colder months will give visitors an opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including a patio heater and a range of barbecues. For more information, visit www.greatbritishbbq.co.uk.
