Two students awarded Meat Sciences scholarships
Two students will study on the Meat Sciences and Technology programme at Bristol University, as a result of the Halal Food Foundation’s (HFF) scholarship scheme.
The organisation is the parent company of the Halal Food Authority (HFA) and launched its scholarship scheme for outstanding students in October this year, as a contribution to the UK food industry.
HFF awarded the scholarships in conjunction with the School of Medical Veterinary Sciences and the University of Bristol.
“The objective of the HFF scholarship scheme is to assist the food industry in training and research in areas of halal significance, such as animal welfare, food quality, food safety and public health,” HFF said in a statement.
