Lees joins Double D

Double D Food Engineering has appointed Bill Lees as operations manager.

Lees' key responsibility is to oversee all aspects of manufacturing, procurement, product delivery and installation.

Double D's managing director, Bob Petrie, commented on the appointment: "Bill's background is in streamlining manufacturing operations using a combination of the latest in ERP systems technology and lean manufacturing techniques.

"This approach will take our proven design and manufacturing expertise to the next level, enabling us to significantly improve our overall competitiveness including shorter lead-times.

"We were very impressed at Bill's ability to see the quality and uniqueness of Double D's products, and his enthusiasm for our expansion plans."

Lees was formerly production and operations manager at Dundee-based Texol for nine years, following Texol's management buy-out from NCR.
