QMS campaign at Foodex Meatex
Quality Meat Scotland is appearing at Britain's largest food trade show to get more of the industry to support Scotch Beef and Lamb.
The Scotch Butchers Club, QMS' group of premium independent butchers that support and promote Scotch Beef and Lamb, is having a stand at Foodex Meatex from Sunday to Wednesday at the NEC, Birmingham.
Independent Retailer Manager for QMS, June Lomax, said: "Foodex Meatrex is the only UK exhibition covering all aspects of food production, and it's a great opportunity to reach the kind of industry people that need to know about the Scotch Brand and the Scotch Butchers Club.
"We're going to be part of the overall Scotland stand at the expo and offering people from throughout the food service sector a chance to see the quality of Scotch Beef and Lamb and discuss with them the opportunities it could bring to their business."
As well as taking stand space a the event, Quality Meat Scotland is also sponsoring the Foodex Meatex Live cookery theatre, with celebrity chef Colin Capon leading a demonstration called Get ready for summer with Scotch focusing on outdoor eating, and tailoring products that consumers can easily use on barbecues and for quick and simple summer dinners.
June said: "One of the things bringing people back into butcher shops in Scotland is our ability to offer gold standard service, backed by top quality produce and innovative products.
"Visitors to the Scotch Butchers Club stand will see the advantages of selling a world class leading product like Scotch and will hopefully come away with some exciting new ideas on how to present it to their customers."
Foodex Meatex runs from Sunday 6th April to Wednesday 9th April - 08.00 until 17.00, the Scotch Beef Club stand is K200b in the Scottish Pavilion.
