Search for winning products completed

Judging of the six product categories for this year's Meat Industry Awards has been completed.

Judging of the six product categories for this year's Meat Industry Awards has been completed and, according to judges, the winners should be congratulated for innovation, quality and setting the highest standards.

The search is now complete for Britain's best sausage, best poultry product, best pork product, best beef product and best lamb product, together with best organic product. The judging of the wide range of entries took place at the MLC test kitchen facilities in its Winterhill headquarters over two days. Organiser of the 2006 Awards Mandy Parker said: "We were delighted with the response this year. We now have our winners and finalists for the six product categories as well as results for the nine voting categories, and all will be revealed at the Meat Industry Awards dinner on the evening of 30th November".
