Richmond expands sausage range

Richmond, one of the UK's leading sausage brands, is expanding its frozen range in time for summer with a new Jumbo sausage.

The new frozen variant is thicker and longer than the current 'thick' sausage, but still made to the trusted Richmond Irish recipe.

Richmond Jumbo will be positioned as ideal for BBQs and as the perfect hotdog.

Richmond senior brand manager, Mark Brown, said: "The new Jumbo will offer existing consumers a wider choice and also help to attract new purchasers to the brand."

Richmond frozen is currently experiencing an impressive growth rate of over 6% compared to a market average decrease of 8%.

Richmond represents 16% of the total frozen sausage market and is the number one brand in this area.

The new product will be sold in units of eight sausages per pack (725g) with a RRP of £1.99.

It will be launched in Sainsbury's and Farmfoods nationwide from mid April and will be available in the frozen aisle.

Available in Thick, Thin, Skinless, Square and now Jumbo, it is the highest selling sausage brand in the UK.
