An orphaned lamb, rescued by dog-lover Amanda Scape, has been confined to the house after environmental health chiefs warned, "You can't just walk a sheep about willy nilly."
The warning came after a local paper revealed that Scape had rescued the lamb from a farm and nursed her back to health. To exercise the sheep, she was taking her for walks with her pet dog, Yan.
"I take her out on a lead and walk her like one of the dogs," Scape told the Lancashire Telegraph. "The butcher doesn't like me taking her in his shop, because she puts people off buying lamb chops!"
Environmental health chiefs have insisted Lucy must have all the necessary paperwork and her movements must be recorded in case of disease.
