Caterers and butchers in the North West can now offer customers a new brand new range of premium quality beef and lamb thanks to the launch of 'Northern Gold', the latest addition to meat catering company Clifton Quality Meats' portfolio of products.
The official launch of Northern Gold Premium Beef and Lamb took place at Blackpool Football Club recently and was attended by over 40 of the company's key customers - independent retailers, restaurateurs and representatives from hotel groups (Q Hotel Group, Sleepwell Hotel Group and Choice Hotel Group). Eight businesses signed up to become new stockists of Northern Gold beef and lamb at the launch.
Speaking at the launch, managing director of Clifton Quality Meats, Stephen Hellewell, said: "Because Northern Gold beef and lamb is sourced from specially selected local farms to our exacting conformation specifications, we know that we can offer our customers a consistently flavoursome, succulent and quality product every time. We're delighted to be able to work with and support local farmers who have helped to produce a brand we are very proud of."
Northern Gold beef is extra matured to ensure the meat will be flavoursome and succulent. Northern Gold lamb is processed in local abattoirs and finished to the highest standards. It is then chilled and matured in special chilling rooms to enhance the flavour and eating quality. Only the best industry practices are used throughout the supply chain to ensure the integrity of the brand is protected at each stage of the process.
Clifton Quality Meats is a member of the English Beef and Lamb Executive's (EBLEX) Quality Standard scheme and Northern Gold beef and Lamb is certified with the Quality Standard Mark for both products.
