The Food and Drink Qualifications (FDQ), a subsidiary company of the Meat Training Council (MTC), has recruited a new quality and accreditation manager to join its team.
Sharon Dunn, joins FDQ from the University of Lincoln where she has experience in delivering NVQs, VRQs, BTECs, professional and bespoke courses to a range of companies.
MTC chairman Bill Jermey said: “FDQ is rapidly expanding its portfolio of training qualifications and Sharon is joining at an exciting time. Her wealth of experience will be an asset to the organisation.
“More and more businesses are realising the benefits of staff training – not only to retain personnel but also to help businesses be more competitive. MTC is committed to being a leader in the provision of good quality training for anyone working in the food industry.”
FDQ is the awarding body of the MTC offering vocational qualifications throughout the food, drink, meat and poultry sectors in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Dunn added: “I have already had experience of FDQ as I have worked occasionally for them as a moderator. I was very impressed with their professional approach.
“My interests lie in the development of further education and I’m looking forward to working with FDQ in the development of qualifications in the food industry.”
