Farmers to get one-stop web hub
An online one-stop shop has been launched to help pig producers get to grips with the environment.
Developed by BPEX, the website pulls together information from Defra, the Environment Agency, Natural England and the National Pig Association to create a specialist hub for farmers.
Nigel Penlington, BPEX environment programme manager, said there was plenty of information on the environment for producers, but it was scattered across a number of sites on the web.
“Access for those needing this information can be difficult, time-consuming and frustrating. The aim of this easy-access portal is for it to become a recognised and comprehensive focus point for obtaining up-to-date and authoritative information.”
The hub address is www.bpex.org.uk/PracticalAdvice/environmentHub/default.aspx
