Tulip-owned Danepak is set to appear on television screens this Sunday as part of its recent sponsorship deal with the Variety Club’s Showbiz Awards.

The adverts, will be shown before, during and after the award ceremonies, which will broadcast on Channel 5 on 22 November.

Tulip marketing director Sophie Colquhoun said: :The deal to sponsor the Showbiz Awards was agreed earlier this year, when our UK chairman Carsten Jakobsen bid for the headline sponsorship at a charity auction.

“We’ve created a series of adverts, that will be shown by Channel 5, that we feel will really connect with viewers, reminding them of the brand’s heritage, and we will incorporate the Danish sizzle in a unique and entertaining way.”

The event was held on 25 November at the Grosvenor House, London and is a children’s charity, set up by the entertainment industry

Colquhoun added: “The adverts will help cement Danepak’s position as the nation’s favourite bacon and pork brand, and with annual sales now over £60m and up 75% year-on-year, we’re really looking forward to great Christmas trading.

“We’re expecting an audience of over a million viewers when the show is broadcast and will closely monitor how the adverts impact sales over the coming weeks.”
