Busch reports on its success from Foodex

Busch UK demonstrated the latest developments in the field of vacuum-and low-pressure pumping technology for the food and packaging industry at Foodex 2012.

Cost reduction and performance improvement in food processing applications were the focus of the show this year.

Ian Graves, managing director of Busch (UK), said: "In this day and age, the most pressing company subjects are cost reduction and continuity of their process."

The most widely used product in vacuum packaging applications is the Busch R 5 oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump, which again proved to be the most popular product with the visitors on the Busch stand at Foodex this year.

Graves said: "Visitors came on the stand to see the most reliable vacuum pump for the food market and the one selected by all major food packaging original equipment manufacturers they cannot all be wrong.

"We were also very pleased to see that there was much interest in the new TYR Blower for overpressure applications, such as pneumatic conveying of ingredients or waste collection. Almost everyone talks about cost reduction and increased productivity and we feel that the features on our stand really hit the nail on the head. The show was a great success for Busch."
