Mailbox delivers on bucket list
Mailbox, the materials handling company, has developed a new 15-litre bucket to help reduce cross-contamination in production areas.
A rotationally moulded cylindrical container with a stainless steel carry handle sounds simple, said Mailbox. However, with the integration of a moulded-in tipping hand grip, the user can safely lift the container to empty without anyone or anything coming into contact with the inside surface.
Mailbox sales manager Ian Fisher said: "This product was practically designed by our customer. They knew what they wanted and our job was to interpret their wishes and come up with a practical solution."
The container is made from moulded-in food-grade medium-density polyethylene and has clean-lined smooth internal and external surfaces, which leave no room for dirt traps.
Mailbox also said the addition of an optional lid makes the container ideal for food mixing and blending, which Gero Liotti, national sales and product manager, believes is the making of a "truly hygienic product that can be used in many food manufacturing environments".
