Multivac extends multi-weighing options
Multivac Marking & Inspection will launch its first checkweighers in three weight ranges, designed with the option for metal detection.
According to Multivac, the new MR821 checkweighers have added to the company's product range for end-to-end packaging lines and the company said customers will benefit from the advantages of being able to get other line components from Multivac.
Multivac said the checkweighers can be adapted to all applications and their transport and weighing modules are mounted on to robust twin-beam carriers. This sturdy construction allows for maximum weighing accuracy, with rigidity aimed at stopping flexing and vibration.
The useful option to add multi-frequency metal detectors to the MR821 means the device can be adapted to the requirements of each user. Multivac said all types of metals can be detected with the addition of the metal detector, which attaches mechanically to the infeed side of the checkweigher.
With the addition of either a 12.1-inch or a 5.7-inch colour screen, operators can easily adjust machine settings. Removable transport belts, which can be taken out without tools, maximise the potential for easy belt changes.
A Multivac spokeswoman said: "They are designed as dual-range weighers, which enables them to achieve the unusually wide range of legally calibrated weights.
"Thanks to the unique teaching routine, operating companies can automatically set up, after calibration acceptance, all those new products that exceed the initial calibrated weight range. As a result, a new calibration is no long necessary.
"This significantly increases the checkweigher's flexibility of use for the operating company."
