Foodservice firm brings out new lamb dishes
A foodservice supplier is hoping to bring an early taste of spring to menus with the launch of two new lamb dishes.
Gilbert’s Foods has created two new stuffed lamb shoulder dishes, aimed at forming the perfect meal centre for foodservice operators.
The lamb comes in two varieties: Apricot & Lemon and Redcurrant & Rosemary, with each dish contains a 400g tender, slow-cooked individual portion of high-quality lamb, containing a unique herb and fruit stuffing, and a rich gravy-style sauce, all designed by the team of development chefs at Gilbert’s Foods.
The company said the dishes would be great for Mother’s Day and Easter menus. Peter Smith, managing director at Gilbert’s Foods, said: “There are many under-used and under-valued cuts of meat that deserve more attention, as they can be cost-effective and versatile without compromising on taste.
