Brand new lorries for Suffolk supplier

An East Anglian slaughterhouse and wholesale supplier has started the New Year by taking delivery of two new Renault Premium Eco lorries.

C&K Group, which is based in Suffolk, delivers across the country to catering butchers, retail butchers, wholesalers and meat processors. It has now increased its fleet from 10 to 12 trucks after the new vehicles arrived from dealer Turbine Commercials.

Managing director Kevin Burrows said: “As a business we’re looking to expand further in 2014 and it’s essential that we add to our fleet to provide an efficient, economical delivery service.”

The Renaults have automatic gearboxes, 26 tonne payloads and fully insulated purpose-built fridge units. They are also fully compliant with emission restrictions in the City of London.

Business development manager Graham Pentelow said: “We’re proud to have a Gold award from the Suffolk Carbon Charter here which covers our green credentials at the factory. Modernising our fleet as we expand is cost saving to us as a business in terms of fuel economy, while it also reduces our carbon footprint.  It allows us to make a strong statement to our customers of investment in our business and of ensuring their deliveries arrive in good time, in the very best condition.”
