Pop star in new anti-meat outburst
Campaigning vegeterian and former pop-star Morrisey is back on the anti-meat bandwagon, this time comparing meat consumption with paedophilia.
From the man who released an album entitled ‘Meat is Murder’, while fronting the Smiths, the latest outbursts against meat have shocked even his loyal fans.
Speaking in a Q&A session on his fan website, the singer said: "I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia. They are both rape, violence, murder. If I’m introduced to anyone who eats beings, I walk away."
Not content with that, Morrisey, who said his proudest achievement was persuading many people to stop eating meat, added: "If you believe in the abattoir, then you would support Auschwitz. There’s no difference."
He went on to comment on a television appearance showing Cilla Black preparing a leg of lamb: "Since a lamb is a baby, I wondered what kind of mind Cilla Black could possibly have that would convince her that eating a baby is OK?"
