BBC seeks meat industry artists

BBC One is hunting for the best of Britain’s amateur artists for a new competitive arts series, and they have asked for any budding maestros in the meat industry to put themselves forward.

he broadcaster is looking for amateur artists from all over the UK who have a passion for painting and drawing. The BBC wants to hear from you if you’re over 16 and up for a creative challenge.

Applicants must not be professional artists and will be expected to work in a variety of different figurative forms and media – from landscape, portraiture and still life, to watercolour, oil and charcoal.

To apply, send your name, address, age, occupation and contact number, along with a recent photo, up to three images of your work, and a short paragraph about why you paint to amateurartist@bbc.co.uk

The deadline is 23 March.
