HCC sponsors green energy event
Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) will be one of the main sponsors of the Royal Welsh Grassland & Alternative Energy Event 2014, which will focus on green renewable energy.
The event, held at Y Ddôl Farm, Llanbadarn Fynydd in Radnor county, is aimed at farmers, contractors and the rural public. It will consist of supplier stands, working machinery demonstrations and forage trial plots covering the latest crops and varieties. Cooking demonstrations using Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef will also be held during the day.
As well as sponsoring the event, HCC will launch an updated version of the Grassland Management booklet, and distribute a newly published handbook – Recommended Grass and Clover Lists for England and Wales.
HCC’s industry development manager Siôn Aron Jones said: “Good grassland management and utilisation underpins a profitable and efficient livestock enterprise. We hope that farmers come along to the event to receive the latest information on how to make the most of the forage that is grown.”
